God, Are You Talking To Me?

Things you can not explain are going on all around you.  Every way you turn, it seems like there's a closed door.  This isn't like you to be in this position.  All your life things have always clicked for you.  But this time, you feel like you're butting your head against the door and shouting to the top of your voice -- yet nobody is listening, no one is responding to you.  What's going on here?

God, are you talking to me?  Are you trying to get my attention?  Have I been doing all the talking lately?  Is it time for me to simply shut up and allow You to speak to my heart for a change?

God speaks to us in all kinds of ways -- including circumstances and actions.  Right now, He's trying to get a lot of people's attention.  He needs them to wake up, to hear and understand that He needs them to come back home to the family of God.  He didn't create you to squander and waste your life on petty things that don't really matter.  He has a better plan for your life.  You were born with a special purpose.  He needs you to help Him fulfill a plan that has been in existence from the first day the earth was created.

People have become so consumed with things around them that they've forgot to look at the bigger picture of what God has in store for us.  Every one of us only has so many days upon this earth.  It's strictly a temporary residence.  Compared to the time we'll spend in eternity, our lives here on earth are but days in God's plan of eternal life.  While we're here, we have work and things to do.  If you don't yet know what your purpose is for being on this earth, perhaps you've been doing too much talking and not enough listening to God.  Like any good parent, because He loves us so much as His children, God will allow us to keep talking and talking until He needs us to stop and listen. Then He does things or allows us to get ourselves in impossible situations when we have to seek him --only to get our attention.

Perhaps now is your time to listen to that still voice inside you.  You were created for a higher calling than how you've been living your life.
