The Praise Music
Of CrossTied...
Unlike many
churches where traditional choirs provide the main music for
worship services while praise bands provide special music,
at LordsWay Baptist Church, the roles are reversed.
CrossTied provides virtually all the music for all of the
worship services, while the LordsWay Baptist Church Adult
Choir provides special music at services.
Families
attending church at LordsWay Baptist say they like it that
way because it keeps the youth and children interested and
attentive during the church's services.
During the services, the words of the songs are flashed upon
a huge screen behind the stage, so members of the
congregation can sing along with the band. The words
and messages in the music of CrossTied are unbelievably
powerful and spirit moving. They alone can strike
chords in your heart and really make you think. Many
people say they were moved to turn their hearts over to God
as a result of CrossTied's music.
Now the music of
CrossTied becomes even better. In the process of
preparing for a series of concerts which the band will be
performing over the next year, CrossTied is writing and
producing a number of their own original new CrossTied songs. These same songs will also be played by
the band during the worship services at LordsWay Baptist,
which will be a real treat for the congregation considering
the songs were written and inspired specifically for the
church.
CrossTied is the
praise band ministry of LordsWay Baptist Church, and also a
key component of the church's youth ministry.
Current members of CrossTied™ include band leader, rhythm
guitarist and male vocalist Joel Warren; lead female
vocalists Courtney Duncan and Lisa Heaton; bass player and
special vocalist Parker Phillips; backup vocalist Amy Warren
and Kerri Reed; and sound
board operators Kevin Duncan, Jason Heaton and Melissa Wright.
CrossTied is
also working towards producing and release the group's first CD of
original music later this year. Art Weiss of BC
Music Productions, an international composer, arranger,
record producer and multi-instrument musician, and
professional singer / songwriter Lindsey Taylor have been
helping CrossTied prepare for the concerts as well as for
the upcoming CD. |
